Gills set for Qatar – and back

GILLINGHAM fans are gearing up for a long season on the road in League One – in fact they’re going to Qatar and back.

In the latest edition of our sister publication Late Tackle, Gills Fansonline editor Daniel Storey describes how the Gills’ supporters will clock up around 8,700 miles this season if they live in Gillingham and go to all 23 away games.

That’s the equivalent of a round trip from Gillingham to Qatar. They start the ball rolling with a trip to Port Vale next Saturday. Let’s hope they don’t break down…
