HUGHTON SLAMS THE DUNK TALK

BRIGHTON boss Chris Hughton has rubbished reports linking Lewis Dunk with a move to Newcastle.

The 23-year-old centreback missed the midweek Capital One Cup clash with Southend, increasing speculation that he is on his way.

But Hughton, a former Newcastle manager, says Dunk is going nowhere.

“As far as I know, it is speculation,” Hughton said. “He is a good player and sometimes that will happen.

“It is not the first time and it won’t be the last.”

Hughton has added to his defence, signing Uwe Hunemeier from Paderborn

“I think the Championship is the best second division in the world,” said the German.
