THEY’LL NOTTS BE ANY REPEAT

-

NOTTINGHAM Forest captain Kelly Kennaugh is keen to ensure that her side don’t repeat last year’s sluggish start to the Women’s Premier League Northern Division season when they face Preston North End today.

Forest took nine games to record their first league win of the 2014-15 campaign – breaking their duck against Preston in October.

But the skipper believes they are in better shape as a unit this time around.

“We have a more settled squad going into Sunday but with some great new additions too,” said Kennaugh.

“It was clear that we were stronger at the end of the season than at the beginning.

“Preston have always been a physical side and we know we have to adapt quickly, but the will and ability is there and we all have to work hard, along with the coaches to ensure we bring out the best in each other not just in this game – but in every game.”
