THESE sides were separated by just two points last season, but the difference between the pair during this meeting was Che Adams.

The youngster was the best player on the pitch by some way, scoring twice and exciting the crowd every time he picked up the ball and ran at the Chesterfield defence.

His first goal may have been straightforward but it was his energy and drive that started the move.

His second was a joy to behold as he waltzed past challenges, played a one-two and then jinked the ball over Tommy Lee with relative ease and maturity way beyond his years.

If Adams continues in this kind of form, United are in for an exciting season – Chesterfield just couldn’t handle him.
