Green giant takes Dons to stars

JOHN Green is one of the most famous authors in the world, he’s worth millions of dollars – and he’s spreading the name of AFC Wimbledon across the globe. The American writer of young adult fiction penned

The Fault in Our Stars, which went on to be a smash hit at the cinema. He is also a YouTube video blogger and has more than 4.5 million followers on twitter.

The 37-year-old first got involved with the Dons with a back-of-the-shorts sponsorshi­p deal last year and is now sponsoring the North Stand.

His latest book Paper Towns has also been turned into a movie, starring Cara Delevingne and Nat Wolff, and Paper Towns sponsored the Dons’ opening game of the season against Plymouth last week.

Dons commercial director Ivor Heller said: “Thanks to John we now have many more fans all over the world.”
