The 37-year-old first got in­volved with the Dons with a back-of-the-shorts spon­sor­ship deal last year and is now spon­sor­ing the North Stand.

His latest book Pa­per Towns has also been turned into a movie, star­ring Cara Delev­ingne and Nat Wolff, and Pa­per Towns spon­sored the Dons’ open­ing game of the sea­son against Ply­mouth last week.

Dons com­mer­cial di­rec­tor Ivor Heller said: “Thanks to John we now have many more fans all over the world.”
