COTTERILL CALLS FOR CHANGE
BRISTOL City manager Steve Cotterill has added his name to the queue of managers berating the timing of the transfer window.
It officially closes on Tuesday at 6pm, but many, including Everton’s Roberto Martinez, have questioned why it remains open after the season has started.
“It becomes a nonsense, it really does, dragging into the season,” added Cotterill, who has missed out on signing strikers Dwight Gayle and Andre Gray this month.
“If you made it before the season started, everybody would know where they are.
“When you’re waiting for a player to potentially come and join you, it’s a nightmare situation for any manager.”
