TERRIERS LOAN IN NEW DUO
IT PROVED to be a busy week at the John Smith’s Stadium as Huddersfield bolstered their ranks with the loan signings of Mustapha Carayol and Emyr Huws from Middlesbrough and Wigan respectively.
Winger Carayol had yet to feature for Boro this season and ended last term on loan at Brighton while Welsh international Huws moves to the club with striker Jordi Hiwula going the other way.
Both additions are for the whole season with Terriers boss Chris Powell delighted to add reinforcements to his side who had yet to win this season before yesterday’s match against Queens Park Rangers.
“We’ve had to wait for Emyr’s fitness to reach a point where we are able to do the deal and we have had to work hard to reach an agreement that works for Wigan,” he said.
“Mustapha is a player who has always been a threat when my team has opposed him due his natural ability, his raw pace and trickery. I’m sure he will excite our fans.”
