INSPIRED GOALS SET BY REDS

THEY may have one eye over their shoulders but Liverpool are taking time out from relegation worries, launching their own social media conversation this week.

The #ThisGirlsGoal campaign is aiming at “identifying existing negative stereotypes and smash them, replacing them with empowering and inspirational messages instead”.

Asisat Oshoala, the first African in the WSL who won the BBC’s inaugural Women’s Footballer of the year award, Fara Williams, Natasha Dowie and Gemma Bonner are all in the video.

But behind the video, comes the hashtag, from Zainab in Abuja, who tweets: “I dance because I am free, I am educated and I can succeed in future”.
