UNITED STARTING TO LOOK THE PART

SHEFFIELD United are starting to justify their tag as pre-season promotion favourites.

After years of closes haves and underachievements, Nigel Adkins looks to have brought the formula back to Bramall Lane. The Blades have bounced back from their opening day annihilation at Gillingham but the form has picked up as his summer signings have gelled. Billy Sharp in particular is starting to show the goal-scoring prowess he showed by helping Adkins’ Southampton’s side to the Premier League in 2012.

Swindon started the season strongly but maybe they are starting to feel the strain of losing a number of players and now face a deadline day fight to keep key forward Nathan Byrne away from the Championship.
