DON­CASTER ROVERS may be fly­ing high in WSL2, but re­turn­ing de­fender Emily Simp­kins in­sists the sky’s the limit as they look to up­set the odds in the Con­ti­nen­tal Tyres Cup.

Simp­kins bagged a brace on her home de­but af­ter re­turn­ing to the club from Birm­ing­ham City, with the Belles beat­ing Durham 5-0.

“It feels amaz­ing to be back,” said the 25-year-old midfielder.“It was nice to feel what home is like here.

“The win put us in a good place in the cup and if we just keep our heads down we’ll have a chance.We go on to the next game now.”
