CHEEKY TOMMY RECOVERS
TOMMY Spurr looks to have escaped serious injury, despite being knocked unconscious at Loftus Road on Wednesday night.
Just 70 seconds into Blackburn Rovers’ 2-2 draw with QPR, the left-back suffered a clash of heads and was stretchered off after a sixminute stoppage.
However, Spurr soon regained consciousness and walked out of the ground with his team later that night.
Rovers boss Gary Bowyer said:“He got a hell of a whack to the cheek bone. The medics will take care of him, but he’s back on his feet, which is a relief.
“He’s got a nice lump on the side of his cheek so we’ll see what happens.”
