TAKE A TIP FROM ME: WATCH OUT FOR AMBITIOUS BRIGHTON

-

THE future is looking very bright for Brighton & Hove Albion. I was at the Amex on Tuesday night to watch their men’s team move five points clear at the top of the Championship and was introduced to their Head of Women’s & Girls Football, Tracy Doe (right), at half -time.

The club has incredibly ambitious plans for their women’s team, so much so that Tracy said: “Our goal is Champions League football within five years.”

They’re not hanging around! The women are fully integrated at the men’s training ground and play their matches on the brand new 3G pitch at the Sussex County FA HQ. Brighton are currently top of the FAWPL south and goalkeeper Faye Baker – a teacher who commutes from London to train three times a week – has yet to concede in six matches.
