The striker recently returned from a three-year spell studying in the USA to take up the Hoops’ offer of a contract after impressing on trial. He’s completing the fourth and final year of his communications degree online.

He told BBC Sport: “I recently had an exam that started at 8pm Florida time. That was 1am in the UK. I’m looking forward to graduating, put it that way!”
