McHUGH BOOST FOR PLYMOUTH

PLYMOUTH Argyle boss Derek Adams says Carl McHugh will be back before long, after revealing the defender’s hamstring injury is not as bad as expected.

The Irishman limped off in Saturday’s draw with Bristol Rovers and had played in every game so far this season for Argyle.

But Adams insists the timeframe of McHugh’s return is in weeks rather than months.

“He looks like he’ll be out for a couple of weeks, which is better than we first feared,” Adams said.

“He’s been an important player for us this season and we’re hopeful that we can get him back quite soon.”
