ROB EDWARDS FACTFILE

Born: Telford, 1983 (Age 32) 2002-04 A product of Aston Villa’s academy, Edwards made his debut in a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in December 2002. He eventually played

nine games in the 2002-03 season and won the first of his 15 caps for Wales before sustaining a serious injury to his ankle ligaments. After seven games on loan at Crystal Palace (where he scored his first pro goal) and 11 for Derby, he was sold to Wolves for £150,000 in the summer of 2004.
