DES GETS BEATEN – BY HIS LAD

-

DES Walker may have won 59 caps for England but the former defender claims his son Tyler is a better player than he ever was.

Despite being just 18, Walker Jr is already making a name for himself as a striker at his dad’s old club Nottingham Forest and a string of impressive displays have Des excited.

“He is a more talented player than I was – I only had to kick people,” said 49-yearold Walker, who scored just once in a Reds shirt – a tally already beaten by his boy.

He adds: “When I hear Forest fans singing ‘He’s one of our own’, that always hits me hard because he is one of their own.

“I was born in London, but he was born here, lives here and loves the club.”
