FFP SALE LOOMING AT EWOOD
BLACKBURN Rovers managing director Derek Shaw admits that one more big sale will end the team’s Financial Fair Play embargo.
Rovers have been unable to buy players since December 2014 for not meeting the Football League’s Fair Play requirement. They managed to hold on to striker Jordan Rhodes at the end of the summer window however, and Shaw’s hopeful that will remain the case.
“We’re probably one asset sale away from coming out of FFP, which would probably be a player for under £5m,” he said.“I think the days of spending big are probably gone and (manager) Gary Bowyer has proven that with free transfers.”
