SET-PIECE GAIN FOR THE LIONS
MARK Beevers insists Millwall’s set-piece prowess is no fluke after seeing the hard yards on the training pitch pay off in some style already this season.
The Lions are still coming to terms with life in League One, but their set-piece efficiency is one of their strengths, having scored six goals from planned routines before the weekend.
And centre-back Beevers, 25, said:“Last season we struggled to find the net from set-pieces at all.
“During pre-season the gaffer spoke a lot about how important creating and scoring from free-kicks and corners would be for us.
“Fortunately our work on that is paying off.”
