TIME TO BE ARROGANT, GILLIEAD

-

ARROGANCE is generally considered a negative quality, but that is exactly what Carlisle United boss Keith Curle wants to see from Alex Gilliead after extending the Newcastle forward’s loan deal.

Gilliead, 19, will now remain at Brunton Park until the end of the season and although he failed to find the net in his first five games for the Cumbrians, Curle is unconcerned.

“Alex has the ability to glide past people and run with the ball,” he said.“I think he’s going to be a goalscorer as well.

“Once he gets that arrogance and confidence he will bring goals to the team, as well as assists.”
