BAMFORD WANTED BY BORO

PATRICK Bamford will always be welcome back at Middlesbrough, according to head coach Aitor Karanka.

The Chelsea striker, who was named Championship Player of the Year after a stellar campaign at the Riverside, has struggled on loan at Crystal Palace.

That has led to reports that his stay at Selhurst Park will be cut short in favour of a move elsewhere.

“I told him that he would have the doors open for him always,” said the boss. “He came as an unrecognised player and he left as the Player of the Year.”
