DERBY County midfielder George Thorne hopes his side can sneak under the radar for a promotion push.

The Rams have been in good form of late and have shown encouraging signs under manager Paul Clement.

Since rebuilding the squad and spending heavily in the summer transfer market, the hype has gradually subsided and Thorne, 22, thinks that could help the team.

“We know we’re in good form and we’re slowly creeping up the table,” he said. “Maybe it’s a good thing that it’s been a bit quiet of late and not so many people are talking about us as there were at the start.”
