PRESSLEY CONCERN OVER HIS LOANEES
FLEETWOOD Town boss Steven Pressley is keen to keep centre-half duo Richard Wood and Dionatan Teixeira at Highbury, but admits it may be difficult.
The arrival of the pair at the beginning of the season has brought in muchneeded stability to the Cod Army’s back four. But 30year-old Wood’s loan deal is due to expire imminently and Pressley admits the decision to let him stay lies in the hands of new Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn.
“With the change of manager at Rotherham, it’s a concern that Neil Redfearn may want to call him back to see him,” said Pressley.
“He’s been very good since coming here, not only on the pitch, but also as an example to our younger players off the pitch.
“We have to wait on that and see how it develops.”
Stoke loanee Teixeira, 23, has just two weeks left in Lancashire and Pressley is keen to ensure his defensive stability remains for the foreseeable future.
“You don’t want too much change,” he said. “In the last couple of weeks the players have begun to understand the principles.”
