‘AMAZING’ BANTAMS SURPRISE ACE KYEL

-

KYEL Reid insists Bradford City are a stronger team the second time round after returning to Valley Parade on a month’s loan from Preston.

Reid, who left the Bantams in June 2014 to move to Deepdale, helped City to consecutive wins on his first three outings this month.

The winger admits he is not surprised by the team’s recent results, and he is elated to be playing his part in the club’s current revival.

“The gaffer’s (Phil Parkinson) got an amazing squad here and ability-wise probably better than the one we had when I was here last time,” said the 27-year-old.

“We had that spirit to always work hard for each other before but now he’s just added that extra quality.

“He’s brought in some good players and you can see the difference. There is the potential to kick on and hopefully be successful.”

Since his return to West Yorkshire, Reid has received a warm welcome back.

“The fans here mean a lot to me,” he said. “They’ve played a great part in my career and have always shown me support. Hopefully I’m the lucky spark and we can keep winning.”
