BUDGET IS BIGGEST, SAYS FRY
CHAIRMAN John Fry has revealed Yeovil Town manager Paul Sturrock has been given the biggest playing budget ever authorised by the club at League Two level.
Sturrock has bemoaned Financial Fair Play restrictions that make it difficult to compete with clubs like Plymouth and Portsmouth that boast large gates.
But the chairman believes his first-team boss has enough money to work with.
Fry said:“The directors put through the biggest budget yet for a League Two manager.
“We are the 11th-highest spenders in the division, so we were expecting to finish around the halfway mark this season.”
