LEE KEEN TO TURN TABLES AT TYKES

-

BARNSLEY boss Lee Johnson insists he does not fear for his job and wants to remain at the Oakwell helm for a long time to come.

The Tykes went into this weekend on the back of four consecutive league defeats, sitting just one point off the relegation zone.

And with three of the five clubs sitting below Barnsley in the table having already parted company with their managers this season, the pressure is on the 34-yearold’s shoulders to deliver.

“I love this place,” he stressed. “I hope I am going to be here for a long time because I want to deliver what everyone wants.

“I’ve made mistakes this year and possibly cost us a few points through some tactical decisions, but I think I have won us games through some other ones.

“But what I would say is I am as determined as anyone. I still believe massively in the group.

“I believe we need one or two of the right ilk to aid and benefit the group.

“For whatever reason we haven’t been able to get those couple that could be the missing ingredients.”
