UR GOOD ENOUGH FOR TEAM, SAYS KARL

-

KARL Robinson believes Diego Poyet should be in Uruguay’s first team – even if the MK Dons boss wishes his midfielder’s allegiances lay elsewhere.

Poyet – currently on loan at MK Dons from West Ham – played for England up to U17 level and Robinson insists he is ready for international football.

“It’s a pity that Diego chose his father Gus’s roots! I feel sorry for him because he’s chosen Uruguay and he should be in that squad,” said Robinson. “It’s a very ageing squad. He should be with Uruguay because he’s 20 years old and should get a chance in some of their senior friendlies.”
