TOWN MUST KEEP FOCUSSED
NORTHAMPTON Town manager Chris Wilder admits their impressive form on the pitch will count for little if the club gets swallowed up by its off-the-field issues.
The Cobblers are the subject of a winding-up petition over outstanding debts and have been unable to pay their players or staff, despite challenging near the top of the League Two table.
“The main event this week is ensuring that the football club survives,” said Wilder.
“That’s the bigger picture, this football club has got a proud history, it’s been here for a long time and hopefully it will be here a long time after we've all gone. All we can do at the moment is keep doing our job.”
