RED-HOT Lee Gre­gory scored four of Mill­wall’s five goals as they booked their place in the John­stone’s Paint Tro­phy area semi-fi­nals with a thrilling 5-3 win at Plymouth.

Ai­den O’Brien also net­ted for the Li­ons with Jake Jervis (two) and Gra­ham Carey on tar­get for the Pil­grims.

Ox­ford United struck early in each half to de­feat Da­gen­ham & Red­bridge. Pa­trick Hoban was on tar­get af­ter just 30 sec­onds and Alex McDon­ald scored two min­utes into the sec­ond half.

Southend United edged out League Two side Bris­tol Rovers 1-0 thanks to a firsthalf John White fin­ish.

How­ever, there was some joy in the West Coun­try as Yeovil Town left their league woes be­hind and tri­umphed 5-4 on penal­ties fol­low­ing a 1-1 draw with Gilling­ham.

Harry Cor­nick opened the scor­ing for the League Two strug­glers but Bradley Garmston hit a stun­ning ef­fort just be­fore the break to level the tie and take it to spot-kicks.

In the North­ern sec­tion, Wi­gan thrashed Black­pool 4-0. Two Jordy Hi­wula goals ei­ther side of fin­ishes from Sean Mur­ray and Yanic Wild­schut en­sured an easy vic­tory.

More­cambe saw off a third suc­ces­sive League One side as they trav­elled to Rochdale and tri­umphed 1-0 thanks to Paul Mullin’s first-half strike.

Af­ter their FA Cup exit at Al­trin­cham, Barns­ley needed a boost – and they got it with a come-from-be­hind vic­tory against York City.

Michael Coul­son gave the Min­ster­men the lead just be­fore the break only for Ben Pear­son to pull the Tykes level. Adam Ham­mill scored a bril­liant late win­ner to ease the pres­sure on un­der-fire Barns­ley boss Lee John­son.

A goal­less draw at High­bury be­tween Fleet­wood and Sh­effield United ended with Fleet­wood keeper Chris Maxwell saving two penal­ties in the de­cid­ing shoot-out as the Cod Army won 4-1.
