BYWATER: FROM INDIA TO BURTON

STEPHEN Bywater is back from a stint in India and ready to assist Burton Albion’s push for back-to-back promotions.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper joined Burton this week from Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, managed by former Gillingham boss Peter Taylor.

“India was an experience,” said the ex-Derby stopper.

“I got the call last summer to go out there but I’m back now and happy to join Burton. They are on a good run and hopefully will have a good end to the season.

“They are a great set of lads and there’s a good atmosphere around the dressing room. I’m excited for the team.”
