GRAY TO STAY AT BURNLEY – DYCHE

- By Paddy von Behr

SEAN Dyche is adamant Andre Gray will be at Turf Moor next month and his confidence is understandable – after all, the striker is not allowed to play for anyone else this season.

Gray, 24, has excelled this term, scoring 16 goals for Brentford and Burnley, with the latter signing him in late August for £9m.

It has led to speculation linking him to Premier League clubs such as Everton, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Swansea City.

But Dyche was keen to fill in those unaware that his star man – like all players – is not eligible to be registered fulltime to more than two clubs in a season.

“He’s not allowed to play for another team,” Dyche said.“They know he’s not allowed to play for anyone else this season. I do think it’s interesting, the number of people that keep asking me about Andre – he’s not allowed to move.

“Well, he could move, but he can’t play for anyone else. And let’s face it, if you’re going to pay a lot of money you’d probably want to play him.”
