WABARA AIMS HIGH AT WIGAN

REECE Wabara is already targeting Premier League football after swapping Barnsley for Wigan Athletic.

The 24-year-old full-back has initially joined on a sixmonth deal but he is looking much further forward.

“The club is very ambitious,” said Wabara.“I could sense that from meeting the gaffer (Gary Caldwell) and the staff around the place.

“I am an ambitious person as well, so the chance to come here and try and get promoted was too good an opportunity to turn down.

“I want to play in the Premier League and this club wants to get back there as well, so hopefully I can achieve that goal here in the future.”
