KARANKA DRAFTS IN SOME SOLA POWER
MIDDLESBROUGH boss Aitor Karanka has bolstered his attacking options with the loan signing of Athletic Bilbao striker Enrique Sola.
The 29-year-old, known as Kike, has scored three times for the La Liga outfit this season and joins Boro for the remainder of the campaign.
Boss Karanka said:“He’s bringing us something we don’t have.
“He’s another striker, he’s a second striker or sometimes number ten. His skills are different and he can play English football because he is strong.”
Meanwhile, League One high-flyers Walsall have been dealt a blow after Manchester City recalled midfielder George Evans from his loan spell at the Bescot Stadium.
The 21-year-old, who initially joined the Saddlers on a 28-day deal in October, had scored four goals in 16 appearances and extended his loan spell days before City decided to recall him.
Elsewhere, in-form League Two side Northampton Town have brought in winger Lee Martin from Millwall.
Martin, who has made 11 appearances this season, joins the Cobblers on a onemonth loan.
