DEMBELE AT THE DOUBLE

- By Sam Elliott

TOTTENHAM are close to getting their hands on yet another of the Football League’s brightest prospects – a second Fulham star by the name of Moussa Dembele!

The Whites striker is set to leave Craven Cottage for £5m, but their fans got a glimpse of the future after Fulham loan player Jack Grimmer’s winner helped Shrewsbury sink Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 in the FA Cup fourth round.

Highly-rated French forward Dembele is ready to sign for Spurs and join up with Belgium midfielder Mousa Dembele – who also signed from Fulham, back in 2012.

The 19-year-old joined Fulham from Paris St-Germain four years ago and is this weekend undergoing a medical at White Hart Lane.

It would prove to be great business for the Championship club. They will pocket a large sum for a player out of contract in four months and will keep hold of him on loan until the end of the season.

Also on the move is Jordan Rhodes, who has been in the north-east for talks with Middlesbrough after Blackburn Rovers accepted the title-chasers’ £9m bid, rising to £11m with add-ons.
