PILGRIMS CONTINUE TO WOBBLE

-

PLYMOUTH blew a chance to go top of the pile after struggling to break down a physical Wycombe side.

The game was an awful spectacle, not helped by Gozie Ugwu’s early goal as the visitors resorted to spoiling tactics to disrupt the home side’s flow. It is easy to see why Wycombe have the best defensive record in League Two on the road and Plymouth had no answer.

Not many predicted Barry Richardson would ever make a first-team appearance again, but the 46-year-old did not let his side down after being summoned from the bench following an injury to Alex Lynch.

Plymouth have wobbled in recent weeks having recorded just one win in their last four matches, raising question marks over their title challenge.
