LEAGUE One strugglers Colchester United were unable to stop Tottenham cruising into the FA Cup fifth round for the first time in four years.

A double from in-form Nacer Chadli and one each for England youngsters Eric Dier and Tom Carroll ensured there would be no famous upset for the Weston Homes Community Stadium crowd.

Colchester did have a slice of luck with their consolation goal to make it 3-1, Gavin Massey’s strike against the post going in off Spurs defender Ben Davies. But it’s the north Londoners who go into the hat for today’s draw.
