CARLISLE WIN JABO RED PLEA

JABO IBEHRE’S red card for Carlisle against Accrington Stanley after just 34 seconds was overturned this week by an FA panel.

The striker, 33, was sent off for a high boot on Matty Pearson, but it was rescinded after an appeal by the Cumbrians.

Carlisle drew 1-1, but manager Keith Curle is happy to put that to one side and focus on the positive appeal.

“It goes without saying that we think the correct outcome has been reached,” Curle said.

“Ultimately, we had to play more than 90 minutes with only ten men, but that’s been and gone now.The positive to come out of it was how the team responded.”
