BLUES ASK FANS TO BE VIG­I­LANT

CARLISLE United are ap­peal­ing for help from their fans in or­der to avoid a re­peat of last week­end’s smoke grenade in­ci­dent.

Last Satur­day’s clash at Ex­eter City was close to be­ing post­poned af­ter a smoke grenade was ap­par­ently set off in a toi­let block.

The al­leged cul­prit has been banned from Brun­ton Park for the rest of the sea­son.

Carlisle me­dia of­fi­cer Andy Hall said: “We are ask­ing sup­port­ers to work with us. It has clearly shown that it is not a good idea to bring th­ese things along, and if you know of oth­ers with them, point it out to our safety staff and help us make sure it gets dealt with.”
