DARIUS IN BID TO DO OS PROUD

AFC WIMBLEDON new boy Darius Charles is determined to do his old friend Karleigh Osborne proud after joining on loan from Burton Albion.

After five years at Stevenage, defender Charles, 28, joined Burton this season but failed to feature.

Dons boss Neal Ardley has turned to Charles following an injury to Osborne and a suspension for fellow defender Ryan Sweeney.

Charles said: “I’d spoken to Nigel Clough at Burton and we felt I needed to get some first-team football.

“Karleigh is a great friend of mine. We’ve been playing football together and been friends since the age of ten.

“He has some big shoes to fill, so hopefully I can do him justice!”
