WHEELS HAVE FALLEN OFF FOR SHRIMPS

IT’S all gone wrong for Morecambe. But who didn’t see this coming?

They defied the bookmakers to be the earlyseason league leaders.

But the wheels have fallen off in recent weeks and this was a performance befitting their relegation-favourites tag.

Credit to Doncaster who picked off their opponents at will and were great value for the win. The day though, belonged to James Coppinger.

His status as a Doncaster Rovers legend is indisputable.

But he’s not still in the team for nostalgic reasons. He is contributing with the best of them and fully deserved the goal that completed the scoring.

Doncaster are now above Morecambe in the table as you would expect. But, as long as the Shrimps can halt this slide soon, it may well prove to be a season of relative success for both these teams, with Doncaster desperate for promotion and Morecambe content to survive with little fuss.
