CROWD IS WARMING TO THE U’S

MICHAEL APPLETON is determined to keep the feel-good factor around Oxford United for as long as possible.

A sold-out Kassam Stadium crowd saw Oxford beat arch rivals Swindon Town 2-0 last weekend, while yesterday’s game at MK Dons was witnessed by a strong travelling contingent, with ticket sales passing the 3,250-mark on Thursday.

“I think we have changed the philosophy of the club with the style and type of players we’ve brought here,” Appleton said. “All of a sudden people are talking about the club in a very positive manner.”
