WOLVES COMPANY DELIGHTS JON DADI
JON DADI BODVARSSON has praised his Wolves team-mates for helping him settle quickly into life in the West Midlands after an impressive start at his new club.
The Icelandic forward, 24, arrived at Molineux on a three-year deal in the summer for an undisclosed fee from FC Kaiserslautern in Germany and has scored twice in his first seven league appearances.
Bodvarsson, who says he grew up watching the Premier League and Championship, started all five games, including against England, in Iceland’s historic run at Euro 2016.
He said: “I love it here. It’s much easier to settle than it was in Germany.
“I speak the same language as the guys. They’re more open and know it’s important for new players to come into things fast.
“I have to give them really big credit for that. They’ve been fantastic to me – the same as the coaching staff and the club in general, especially the fans of course.
“When that all adds together, it makes you so comfortable on the pitch. You enjoy yourself much more. It’s been fantastic so far and hopefully it will keep being the same way.”
