PACY GARITA HAS PLYMOUTH PURRING

-

PAUL-ARNOLD GARITA’S arrival from Bristol City on loan is already looking a shrewd capture as Plymouth chase promotion after last season’s play-off heartache.

The 21-year-old striker ripped Exeter to shreds in the first half with his raw pace and power, making one goal and scored one in the 104th Devon derby between the sides.

Plymouth showed how resolute they are at the back and, with Garita and Graham Carey providing the ammunition, it is no surprise they are the early pacesetters in League Two. This game was won in the first half as Plymouth came racing out of the traps and Exeter’s makeshift back-line could not cope.

The game evened out after the break but the damage was done and Derek Adams’ rebuilt squad are proving a tough nut to crack right now.

Injury-hit Exeter, on the other hand, are struggling at the wrong end of the table but they should have enough in their squad to ease away from trouble.
