TURNBULL BACK FOR THE IRON

LEE TURNBULL is back at Scunthorpe United after being appointed the club’s head of recruitment.

Turnbull, 48, played for the Iron from 1995-97, and also had two spells as the club’s chief scout.

He left in 2015 to join Sheffield United and was Oldham Athletic’s head of recruitment before taking up the same role at Scunthorpe this week.

“We’re delighted to have Lee back with us,” said chief executive officer Jim Rodwel. “We didn’t want to lose him to Sheffield United in the first instance, but we understand that, at the time, it was an exciting new opportunity for him and one that was hard to turn down.”
