CALLUM’S KNOCKING AT DOOR!
FORMER Birmingham City academy stopper Callum Preston, 20, has joined Stevenage after an injury to second-choice keeper Chris Day.
He has not signed a contract but joins after a calf injury to Day, 41, left manager Darren Sarll without a back-up keeper.
Preston previously worked with Sarll when he was academy manager at Stevenage.
Sarll said: “There’s always the chance to force your way through what might seem a closed door. He’s trying his hardest to force his way through.
“He’s a high-quality young man in terms of his personality.”
