TRIALLIST BROWN IS A BLADE
SHEFFIELD United boss Chris Wilder has called on out-of-work players to swallow their pride after claiming many turn down the chance to go on trial.
Wilder offered former Bury defender Reece Brown, 24, a permanent contract this week after being impressed by the triallist. He is still running the rule over 25-year-old winger Cameron Stewart.
Wilder said: “If it’s a trial, it’s a trial. Don’t get precious about it. You’re out of work and looking for a job.
“We just say, ‘there’s an opportunity, try and take it’.”
