BREWERS ‘WORTH THEIR LIFT’

BURTON ALBION may have surprised a few people with their start to the season, but not defender Ben Turner, 28.

He was the Brewers’ first signing of the summer window following their promotion from League One and insists his side belong at this level.

“I said when I came in that, if you get automatic promotion from League One you’re a Championship team,” said Turner.

“By the rules of the game, you’re too good for League One.

“A lot of the players were good enough to play in the Championship and they just needed a couple of games to realise that.”
