STRAIGHT TALKING GOES ON
CHELTENHAM Town boss Gary Johnson has no intention of toning down his harsh post-match words, insisting his players must learn to respond.
Johnson has publicly criticised some of his players after a difficult start since promotion from the National League, but he feels honesty is essential for success.
“We tell them they need to step up. I can say that because I know them inside out,” he said.
“I know what makes them angry, I know what makes them train harder. When I speak after games, I never say anything I don’t say in the changing room to the players.”
