DAWSON COOL ON GOAL RATE

-

STEPHEN DAWSON has not scored for two and a half years, but the Scunthorpe captain insists he has hit his peak – goals or no goals.

The 30-year-old midfielder, renowned for his tackling, has helped the Iron win five of their first eight games.

“I feel like I am playing some of the best football I’ve played in years,” he said.

“If we win the next 40 odd games, then I couldn’t care less if I don’t score. We are the top scorers in the league at the moment and we have got goals coming from every angle of the pitch.”
