CHAMBERS’ VOW TO THE FANS

-

ADAM Chambers is adamant Walsall can rediscover their best form and mount a promotion charge, despite a worrying run of results heading into the Christmas period.

The Saddlers are out of all three cup competitions they entered this season after Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Oldham Athletic in the EFL Trophy second round.

That followed a poor run of one win in seven League One matches prior to yesterday’s clash with Bradford City.

Midfielder Chambers, 36, admits things need to change but believes the squad can regain their swagger and start pushing for a play-off spot.

“We want to give the fans a team to be proud of.

“We know there are things we can improve on but the potential in the squad is huge. We know we have been inconsistent in recent times.

“But earlier in the season we went on a good run and I am confident we will do that again.”
