TERRIERS SHOW TEETH IN TRAINING
THE DEPTH of the Huddersfield Town squad is the secret behind the club’s recent success, according to defender Michael Hefele.
The 26-year-old believes that competition for places in David Wagner’s starting line-up keeps everyone on their toes and ensures players give their all at every training session.
The German signed for the Championship club from SG Dynamo Dresden and has enjoyed a blossoming relationship with the Huddersfield fans.
“We have a very good squad, it’s deep from number 1 to 45,” he said. “All the players are very good and we always have very intense training so you can never lay back and do nothing.
“You always have to perform 100 per cent and I think that’s the reason why we’re doing well in the table.
“It’s so good when you are on the pitch and you feel the emotions from the fans.
“When you need them, like against Bristol we needed some energy from the stands – they gave it to us.”
